ACFE Global Fraud Conference Features Session by Background Check Expert on Reducing Insider Threats

Attorney Lester Rosen, founder and CEO of Employment Screening Resources® (ESR), will present the session “Background Checks and Reducing the Insider Threat: Strategies Before and After Hiring” at the 27th Annual Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Global Fraud Conference held from June 12-17, 2016 at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. During the sold out ACFE Conference session taking place Monday, June 13, 2016, from 1:50 p.m. to 3:05 p.m., Rosen will examine to how to conduct effective background checks to mitigate a risky hire in the first place, as well as steps that can be taken post hire to reduce the insider threat risk.  The session will also cover legally compliant best practices to reduce insider threats by revealing how to:

  • React when learning about past criminal offenses, new offenses or falsified credentials of a current employee.
  • Conduct continual screening of current employees.
  • Screen newly-acquired employees in a merger or acquisition.
  • Employ additional screening tools post-hire, such as credit reports, assets searches, and social media searches.
